THE
SPLENDID LOVE
The
poet's story
strikes a tender
chord
In hearts of men
and women young
and old.
He thus attains
the ultimate
reward,
More treasured
than a million
copies sold.
In truth, as
very often has
been told,
He's nourished
by a reader's
mere delight,
Which fuels his
compelling need
to write.
A camaraderie
hence does exist
Between a poet
and his readers
fair,
Much like a baby
smiles when he
is kissed,
Or like God's
gentle answer to
a prayer.
The poet and the
reader are a
pair
Who thrive upon
what each one
has to give --
May such a
splendid love
forever live.
