THE
TRICK OF TIME
The
trick of time does us no wrong,
Only justice does it wield;
For fate itself is but sublime,
And life a narrow shield.
To close the door on all things past
Indeed is blind men's fare;
For everything we do will last,
Aware or unaware.
Our yesterdays are never past,
Forgotten or dismissed;
When curtains of days gone by are drawn,
A memory still exists.
So let us take each memory
And treat it with utmost care,
For if we search inside our souls,
We'll find that truth is there.
