ACCEPTANCE
(For Travis)
Today your pink
azaleas bloomed.
Baby leaves were
born again
on my popcorn
tree.
Singing sparrows
came to feed
from your gourd.
Toad eyed me
cautiously
when I touched
the rosebud
by the fence.
I
saw you wink at
me
behind the
rainbow.
Tears sprinkled
my garden.
The sun smiled.
Goodbye, my
love.
