I
Wish
I
Were
I
wish
I
were
an
orchid
blooming
upon
a
hilltop
quiet
at
some
remote
place
where
only
robins
visit,
and
evergreens
reach
up
to
touch
God,
their
covered
branches
rendering
shade,
with
sunlight
seeping
through
to
give
me
warmth.
I
wish
you
were
the
quiet
hill
upon
which
I
grew;
then
I
would
bloom
more
lovely
from
sun
to
sun
as
I
embraced
you
with
my
life.
