YOU STILL INVADE MY DREAMS

We signed the papers, said goodbye;
no longer did you want to try,
and though you vanished from my sight,
you still invade my dreams at night.

We shared so much throughout the years,
some happy times, some filled with tears,
and though I know you've taken flight,
you still invade my dreams at night.

I wish I could forget your face
and from my mind your name erase.
Hard as I try with all my might,
you still invade my dreams at night.

When life is o'er and I'm asleep,
I know your image I will keep.
Beneath the sod, enclosed so tight,
you'll still invade my dreams at night.
