Candle
In My Heart
The music's softly playing,
there is soft candlelight.
I am thinking of you, honey,
so I take my pen and write.
Just wanted you to know, love,
that I am doing fine.
My heart is filled with longing;
I'm so glad that you are mine.
I close my eyes and see you;
I feel your tender touch,
and the tears that stain the paper
say I love you very much.
Can you feel my arms around you?
Can you taste my fervent kiss?
Do you recall our treasured
moments,
our nights of raptured bliss?
Wish you could be here with me;
I miss you more each day.
May the angels hold and keep you
till you come home to stay.
Until then, I'll go on dreaming
of the day when you'll return,
and in my heart I'll keep a candle
that for you will always burn.
