THOSE
THEY
LEAVE
BEHIND
War
is
tough
and
war
is
hell,
and
plans
are
put
on
pause
when
soldiers
leave
for
battle
zones
to
fight
for
freedom's
cause.
They
go
to
serve
without
complaint;
they're
loyal,
brave,
and
true.
They
march
with
pride
and
wear
a
smile
and
do
what
they
must
do.
Those
left
behind
must
keep
the
faith,
be
patient,
strong,
and
true.
They
live
with
hope
and
fortitude
while
their
hearts
break
in
two.
A
wife
is
left
alone
to
raise
her
children
who
are
small,
because
her
husband
had
to
go
in
answer
to
the
call.
A
mother's
son
is
called
to
fight;
her
fears
she
holds
at
bay.
She
prays
that
God
will
keep
him
safe
and
bring
him
home
to
stay.
A
father's
tears
spills
like
the
rain;
he's
helpless
now
to
be
her
shield.
His
daughter's
gone
to
join
the
ranks
of
soldiers
on
the
battlefield.
They
do
not
know
from
day
to
day
just
what
the
news
may
be,
but
they
hang
on
and
carry
on
with
courage
and
tenacity.
God
bless
the
ones
who're
left
behind
to
hope
and
pray
and
wait.
Their
lives
may
be
forever
changed
by
war's
bloody
hand
of
fate.
True
heroes
all,
those
left
behind,
who
watch
their
loved
ones
go.
Will
they
come
back?
Will
they
be
whole?
They
sadly
do
not
know.
